A 66-year-old man and 58-year-old woman have been reported for alleged drugs supply after police raided an Auchinleck home.

Police executed a Sheriff Search warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 at an address in Back Rogerton Crescent, Auchinleck On Thursday, October 31.

A search of the property and enquiries by officers resulted in a large quantity of tablets and powder, believed to be class C and B controlled drugs being recovered. 

Police say the pair will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal for alleged supply of controlled drugs.

Sergeant Mark Semple, of Cumnock Locality Policing Team said: “Drugs supply and misuse continue to be raised as concerns by members of the community. Disruption of drug supply is a priority for officers.

"The execution of this search warrant was as a result of both proactive work by officers and information provided to police by members of the community.

"I would encourage anyone who has concerns or information about drugs misuse in the community to contact Police Scotland, on 101 (in emergencies always dial 999) or speak to local officers."
