A NEW group for girls recently planted more than 100 bulbs in the grounds of the Ardrossan Medical Centre.
Members of the newly formed Independent Community Empowered (ICE) Girlz planted the bulbs on October 26.
The group wished to thank all the people who donated bulbs, and everyone is now looking forward to a ‘blooming’ good floral display next Spring.
Maria Paterson started the group as an off-shoot from the Ardrossan Brownies.
She said: “We’re hoping to get involved in as much community stuff as we can. We’re already involved with the Three Towns Growers and the Castle Heritage Society and we’re looking to do more.”
ICE Girlz meets every Monday at 6.30pm in Stanley Primary School. All girls aged seven and over are welcome to join.
