A SELFLESS mechanic left an animal charity stunned by his good deeds.

Steven, of Motorspeed in Ayr, stopped by the Islay Dog Rescue Centre in Cumnock to drop off free dog food.

He then went out his way to see what else he could do to help the pups in need.

Using his special skill set he set upon the charity’s van which needed some work for free.

He tinkered with the exhaust and oil to make sure the volunteers could safely transport the dogs around.

The Islay Dog Rescue Centre said: “ “What a fabulous guy.

“He arrived at the rescue a couple of weeks ago with a generous gift of dog food.

“Then said ‘anything I can do to help let me know.’

“We love you, thank you so much.”
