Scots are urged to go green this Halloween by using second-hand stores for outfits.

Ayrshire shoppers are being urged to try second-hand first as they look for the right outfit to make it all ‘fright’ on the night for Halloween this year.

Whether it’s witches, ghosts, ghouls or superheroes, Revolve second-hand stores are packed in the run up to fright night with a range of pre-loved costumes.

What’s more, they also have racks of unique clothing that could be easily turned into a one-of-a-kind homemade costume, perfect for that fancy dress competition or big night out.

Buying Halloween costumes from a Revolve certified store is not only environmentally friendly, it also offers incredible savings while supporting local social enterprises and good causes.

Catherine Bozec, Consumer Campaigns Manager, Zero Waste Scotland, said: “Kitting out the whole family for Halloween can be a scary prospect, but buying your items from Revolve certified stores means you can save money and still have all the fun of putting an amazing costume together.

“By shopping Revolve and not buying, new people are doing their bit to save the planet whilst supporting local organisations that make a positive social impact in the community.”

Revolve is a hands-on approach to zero-waste tolerance to clothing in landfills.
