Potters Snooker Club has closed down after more than 25 years in Stevenston.

The popular venue called its final last orders on Saturday, October 19.

A spokesperson for Potters announced on social media: “After over quarter of a century trading as a licensed premises, being the flagship for our family business and being at the heart of Stevenston’s social scene, we have made the decision that it is now time to call last orders in Potters.

"This decision has not been an easy decision, but for a family business it is the best decision.

“We would like to take this opportunity to express our utmost gratitude to every one of our loyal customers who have supported us over the years yourselves and our staff, past and present, have been the backbone of our success over the years.

“We cannot thank every single individual enough for their time and service and custom. Unfortunately, generations, times, client base and business needs change ... thank you for the memories.

“We would also just like to state for the interest of clarity and avoidance of doubt, the building is not being sold and will not be up for sale.”
