AN ART exhibition in aid of Save the Children launched last week in Ayr for its 26th year running.
Over 250 works are for sale including an exclusive image by prolific Scottish artist, Peter Howson.
The Annual Ayrshire Art Exhibition will run for six weeks and launched on Sunday, October 6 with the work of top professionals and talented amateurs on sale in aid of the charity.
This year’s artists includes well-known names such as Helen Turner, James Harrigan, Frank Colclough, who, along with the other featured artists will be donating 40 per cent of their proceeds to Save the Children, with some of them donating entire works.
Visitors will also be able to enter into a raffle prize for ‘Yachts Away’ a beautiful oil painting by Douglas Lennox.
Morag Smith, Save the Children’s community fundraising manager for the West of Scotland said: “The exhibition is such a highlight of our fundraising calendar and a great family day out.”
