A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of allegedly selling drugs in Ochiltree.
Police say the man was allegedly found in possession of class C drugs at around 11am yesterday (Wednesday, October 9).
Officers armed with a search warrant then raided a property on Mill Street where further alleged items were recovered.
The man has been arrested and charged by police in relation to alleged possession with intent to supply a controlled drug and the theft of electricity.
Sergeant Mark Semple, of Cumnock Locality Policing Team, said: “Drugs cause misery in our communities and local people have identified drug supply as a top priority for local officers.
"This arrest and the recovery of an alleged significant quantity of tablets was the result of some excellent proactive police work and demonstrates our commitment to tackling issues of concern.
“I would encourage anyone who has information about drugs misuse or other acts of criminality to contact Police Scotland, on 101 (in emergencies always dial 999) or speak to local officers.
“Alternatively information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers who can be contacted on 0800 555 111.”
