THE Cumnock Tryst festival’s 2019 was a smash hit with the community still celebrating its success.

With the ‘most diverse’ line up so far residents were excited to see what James MacMillan’s iconic event would bring this year.

Performances from Barbara Dickson, Steven Osborne, The Farmers Choir, Mr McFall’s Chamber and many more left audiences stunned over the enchanting tunes.

The festival took place from October 3-6 in and around the village of Cumnock, where James grew up.

It’s the East Ayrshire festival’s sixth annual event and boasts one of the best events in local music lover’s calender.

The festival also announced The Cumnock Tryst Music Club, resurrecting the former success of the much-loved Cumnock Music Club run by RD Hunter in years gone by. This new project will bring fantastic, world-class musicians to East Ayrshire year-round, not just during the festival weekend.
