MUIRKIRK Celtic fans have climbed Ben Nevis to help build school kitchens in Zambia.
St Thomas’ CSC raised thousands of pounds fundraising with the major hike and a sponsored walk up Cairntable.
They then presented the Celtic Foundation with a cheque for an incredible £3,700 to sponsor the project. The group almost doubled their initial target of £1,967 for their outstanding efforts.
A sign with St Thomas’ CSC, Muirkirk, will now be placed above the main door of the School Kitchen which provides hundreds of school children with their only meal of the day.
