THE Ochiltree Hub is celebrating the success of the facility with a party.
The space, which opened to public in July, is hosting an official opening on October 4 which will see local councillors, MSPs, council representatives, sponsors and local businesses invited to the Hub to officially open the building.
The local primary school will be burying a time capsule on the site and saying a few words following the ‘ribbon cutting’ proceedings.
It comes after the community raised £1.8m to replace the previous centre that was closed to the public in 2016. Now the exciting new facility will include a café with homemade baking, a book point and outdoor space.
The space also offers two spacious meeting rooms that can be hired by the hour, a large hall that can be used as a badminton court, netball pitch or for indoor football.
