AN adorable rescue dog is desperate to find his forever home after becoming miserable in the shelter.

Sparky is a black and white lurcher who is just two and a half years old.

He was rescued from death row by Islay dog rescue centre in Cumnock after being unclaimed at Homeless Hounds in Lancashire.

Sparky is usually a very happy bouncy boy but after living in the shelter and failing to find a home he has become bored and is desperate to get out.

He is very affectionate and loves being around people, but hates cats and small furries.

The cute pooch is desperate to find an owner who can give him the love and attention he deserves.

Sparky likes lots of walks and somebody who will help him learn to walk properly on a halti as he does pull hard when on a harness.

He is happy travelling in the car so days out would be nice too.

If you would like to visit Sparky it is by appointment only as he has a full diary, so please make arrangements through Lorraine on 07876 561 545 or Michelle on 07488 256 937 and they will squeeze you in for a visit.

Islay Dog Rescue are always short of volunteers, particularly dog walkers, gardeners, joiners, electricians and general DIY people.

All dogs leaving Islay Dog Rescue are fully assessed (assessments can be made available to potential owner), neutered, microchipped, flea’d wormed and fully vaccinated.
