CUMNOCK and Doon Valley has been warned to prepare for more flooding as it is set to get battered by heavy rain.
Residents are being urged to expect possible transport disruptions and the possibility of ‘homes and businesses’ being damaged.
Spray and water on roads could make journey times longer while railways and buses may also be affected.
It comes as the Met Office have slapped a yellow alert on the area for Friday and Saturday afternoon.
Weather experts are are encouraging residents to be aware of the warning and take precautions if necessary.
The Met Office said: “An area of heavy rain is expected to become slow-moving across much of Scotland, especially affecting western and central hills.
“This warning has been expanded to cover much of central and western Scotland and to extend the validity time further into Saturday afternoon.”
