NEWMILNS is celebrating a major funding boost for their up and coming festival.
Organisers received thousands of pounds from the The National Lottery Community Fund to help with the event.
They were granted almost five grand for the major weekend celebrations that kick off September 21st.
Arranged by the Newmilns Regeneration Association (NRA), the Newmilns Festival Weekend will include of their fouth Food Festival and the second Arts & Crafts Festival – a including Classic Car Rally!
Both Festivals take place at Jamieson Park, in Newmilns, inside a supersized marquee.
Plans include food, drink, arts & crafts, workshops, demonstrations, children's entertainment and much more!
Organisers said: "We were delighted to receive a cheque for £4,886 for the Newmilns Festival Weekend from The National Lottery Community Fund, as a result of a successful application for grant funding."
