A MULTI-MILLION pound Auchinleck company has been shortlisted for Ayrshire Business Awards 2019.

EGGER Barony, East Ayrshire’s largest employer, made it onto the list along with 44 other companies across 15 categories.

They are in the running to scoop an award for Developing Ayrshire's Young Workforce Award for all their work in the community.

The wood recycling company unveiled traffic plans which could limit traffic restrictions on the site.

This would allow them to increase the use of lorry’s which would mean more productivity for the plant and the local economy.

Chamber Chief Executive Val Russell said “2019, the tenth year of these awards, has seen not only the highest number of entries but according to those involved in the first stage of judging the highest quality which has made it very difficult to select finalists. Thanks to all who entered and good luck to those going on the next stage”

David Hughes, Managing Director of the award’s Principal Sponsor 1825 Financial Planning said “Many congratulations to all the businesses and individuals who have made it to the 2019 awards shortlist, as always the quality of entrants is extremely high and we wish you all the very best of luck in your respective categories”

The winners will all be announced at the Business Awards Dinner taking place at Ayr Race Course on Friday 11th October. It promises to be a night not to be missed and we are delighted to announce that it will be hosted by Jennifer Reoch and Edward Reid.
