EAST Ayrshire bag pipers have welcomed more success after taking first place at the Dundonald Highland Games.
The Kilmarnock Pipe Band, which is made up with many Cumnock and Doon Valley residents, are celebrating after winning for their amazing medley performance.
This result was all the more significant as they managed to place above Johnstone Pipe Band, who compete in a higher grade than them.
The competition marked the end of the season for Ayrshire, Dumfries and Galloway Branch competitions – with the band winning Branch Champions of Champions Pipe Corps, and Branch Champions of Champions Drum Corps.
They also won the Marching and Discipline prize for the Highland Games.
