East Ayrshire foodbanks are appealing for donations after floods around Kilmarnock caused an emergency last week.
The extra reliance on foodbanks meant that many around the area where running at crisis point, which had a knock-on effect to those operating in Cumnock, Dalmellington and other areas that were not directly affected by the floods.
If anyone has any spare dry foods, such as noodle pots, pasta, tinned food and rice, please donate them to Belford Mill and Our Wee Place in Kilmarnock. They also accept clothes, bedding, crockery and toiletries.
If you have been affected and are on a low income you can contact the Scottish Welfare Fund for assistance.
To apply please call 01563 554400.
