A COUPLE have celebrated their Blue Sapphire Wedding Anniversary in Cumnock.

John and Margaret Duff marked 65 years of marriage with a party at Nightingale House.

Margaret is a resident of the Cumnock care home and John visits her several times a week.

Bridie Neilson, activities coordinator at Nightingale House, told the Chronicle: “The party was lovely, it was really so nice.

“Thank you to everyone for coming, to the depute provost, Claire Leitch, and her driver, and to Councillor Neil McGhee and Reverend Steve Clipston.

“A big thank you to Tesco for donating the flowers for the table and Kelsea who came to represent Tesco.

“Thanks to the family – Kevin, Scott, Colin, Linda, Tracy and Claire.

“Also thank you to the management and the staff at Nightingale House for making the day a great success.”

Happy anniversary John and Margaret from all at the Chronicle.
