Members of the public enjoyed a community open day at a Cumnock business.
Coalfield Community Transport hosted the fun day on Saturday, July 20 at their premises in Caponacre Industrial Estate.
Families were entertained by demonstrations from Police Scotland and St Andrew’s Ambulance Association, while the kids had fun with a bouncy castle, face painting, balloon modelling and more. There was also the chance to get a seat on some of the company’s vehicles, including their new electric bus – the first of its kind in Ayrshire.
The fun day was officially opened by East Ayrshire Provost Jim Todd and the firm’s longest member, Annie Allan.
Bobby Wallace, transport manager, said: “It was a successful day. There was a good turnout and the weather was good.
“The electric bus seemed to be busy. That was probably the highlight of the day.”
