AN ADORABLE dog is desperate for a new home after her owner became unable to look after her.

Maddi was dropped off at an animal welfare charity in Ayrshire with another dog who has since been rehomed.

Now the sweet natured 14-year-old Staffie is hoping someone will adopt her too and let her join a new family.

The friendly pooch is looking for somewhere to enjoy her twilight years so she can leave the shelter.

Lynda Hourston, assistant manager at the centre, said: “Sadly, Maddi’s original owner was no longer in a position to care for her and she arrived at our centre with another dog who has since found a new home.

“Maddi may be 14, but she’s not one for acting her age. She’s still full of life and is never happier than when out for a walk or getting her belly rubbed.

“She is a friendly girl who we love to bits and all we want for her is a forever home to enjoy her twilight years.

“She has such a lovely nature and may be able to be rehomed with another dog following a successful introduction. She’d be best suited to a home with older or no children.”
