Police warn East Ayrshire residents to be vigilant about scammers
EAST Ayrshire residents are being urged by police to be aware of scammer techniques.
As part of their #ShutOutScammers campaign, Ayrshire Police have warned people to stay vigilant from ‘fake’ debt collectors.
Legitimate organisations will never request payment of debt by giftcards or vouchers. If you are contacted by a firm requesting this, say no.
If you ever receive a call like this, always check with the organisation, and report the attempted scam.
