ALMOST 70 Ayrshire guys teamed up to smash last week’s Tough Mudder Scotland.

Members of the Fit Ayrshire Dads came together to take part in the gruelling event after moneths of training.

Fit Ayrshire Dads founder Kevin Brown says the guys worked hard to take part.

He told the Times: “The boys completely smashed Tough Mudder. The final number was just short of 70 guys and was reported as the biggest group to ever hit Tough Mudder Scotland.

“This group was full of guys with amazing stories to tell, from mental health issues, overcoming cancer, battling weight issues and confidence and self esteem issues the group rose to the challenge yesterday and were all super proud of themselves at the end.

“I put together a three month training plan with the help of local Instructors Gavin Hogarth at the Fit Body Farm and Scott Brown of SBF who provided lots of outdoor sessions for the guys and helped get them ready for the event. Every week the guys were out running, cycling, walking and keeping themselves fit and healthy.

“The challenge is already laid down for next year and the Fit Ayrshire Dads will be back bigger and stronger than ever.”

Fit Ayrshire Dads was set up last year to help men in Ayrshire of all levels become fitter, healthier, happier versions of themselves.

Kevin added: “The values of the group is positivity, encouragement and support. We welcome men no matter what your already doing or wish to do.”
