Marion’s Still Smiling donated £500 to help a Saltcoats karate champion reach a world championship.
Kirstin Callaghan and Maureen Ritchie Callaghan presented Aria Pascual with a cheque to help her on her way to the World Karate Federation Under 21s. Aria, whose team came second in the charity’s recent It’s a Knockout, is trying to raise funds to represent Scotland at the championships in Chile.
Maureen said: “We split the sponsor money that she raised for It’s A Knockout. Her family were neighbours of Marion for years so we just thought it was appropriate a local athlete supporting a local foundation and we in turn supporting her.”
