OVER 1,300 local youngsters became Danger Detectives to learn about personal safety.
Primary 6 pupils across East Ayrshire took part in a special learning event that ran over eight days and focused on personal safety.
The young people learned how to react to dangerous situations, the role of the emergency services and how to be aware of and protect vulnerable people in their communities.
They took part in a range of fun, interactive workshops including internet safety, home fire safety, road safety, countryside safety, safety on public transport, flood prevention and Hazard House.
The workshops gave agencies the chance to speak to the young people and highlight issues and dangers young people face on a daily basis.
