COUNCIL Leader Joe Cullinane is set to go live on social media to tackle residents’ questions on the Basic Income concept.
North Ayrshire Council is one of four Scottish local authorities, along with Fife, City of Edinburgh and Glasgow City Councils, exploring the feasibility of introducing a Basic Income pilot into the area.
Basic Income aims to provide every citizen with a regular, unconditional payment, regardless of other forms of income.
Residents can tune into the live feed to watch or put forward questions from 7pm on Wednesday 19 June, either by logging onto Facebook and visiting the Customer Services, North Ayrshire Council page, or by watching on Twitter via the @NAC_ Leader account.
Questions can also be submitted in advance by emailing them to: Leader@north-ayrshire. gov.uk
