A PENSIONER has been arrested along with three others in an East Ayrshire drug bust.

The 72-year-old was cuffed along with two men, both aged 43, and a woman aged 29 for allegedly being in possession of drugs.

Last weekend officers from the Divisional Alcohol and Violence Reduction Unit raided two properties in Fulton’s Lane and Hill Street, Kilmarnock.

The 29 year old woman was also allegedly caught with an illegal air weapon.

It comes after concerned members of the community alerted cops to their worries over drug misuse.

PC Andrew Hamilton, of the Divisional Alcohol Violence Reduction Unit said: "Drug dealing continues to be highlighted as a concern by members of the community in East Ayrshire.

"Drugs misuse and supply will not be tolerated in our communities and we will continue to listen to the public who support us in tackling this issue.

"If you suspect drug dealing is happening in your street/town, please contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where anonymity is guaranteed."
