THE MUIRKRK Gala is set to provide a lively atmosphere this year with lots of fun attractions.

It all kicks off this Friday with a special Bubble Football Tournament starting at 6pm on Muirkirk Juniors pitch.

On Saturday June 1 an afternoon of family entertainment is expected at Kames motorsport complex.

The event will be opened by councillor Jim Roberts before the Gala court crowning ceremony where Gala Queen Kelsie McLean will be joined by lady in waiting Raegan Brooks, with Herald Josh Hamilton, Page Boy Jack Bradford, Junior Maid Leah Mitchell and Junior Page Declan Strickland completing what should be a colourful line-up.

Throughout the day there will be stalls, rides and food. The newly refurbishment Kames Clubhouse will also be open and drivers are asked to use the free car parking area inside the complex.

There are modern on site toilet facilities with disability access, so everyone can come along and enjoy the festivities
