Three top Ayrshire restaurants including Souter’s Inn, have been put up for sale.

The three award-winning Costley outlets, including the Ellisland House Hotel and Cochrane Inn are available individually or as a package with a guide price of £3,295,000.

Souter’s Inn in Kirkoswald could be yours for £1.6 million, while Ayr’s Ellisland House Hotel has been put on the market for £1.2 million with Gatehead’s Cochrane Inn available for £495,000.

Costley & Costley Hotels first opened their doors in 1988 before extending their portfolio to nine hotels, restaurants and patisseries.

However Christie & Co’s marketing brochure states owners Cath and Bill Costley decided to place three restaurants for sale to focus on growing and developing their other outlets.

Souter’s Inn previously underwent a complete restoration after the two-storey building went on fire in 2012.

After suffering substantial damage from the blaze part of the building was demolished and rebuilt in keeping with the original  stone rendered and whitewash exterior with its pitched and thatched roof.

To the rear, there is a single storey stone building under a pitched and thatched roof and further single storey extension under pitched and slate roofs. It also comes with an adjacent gift shop with an additional small garden centre investment opportunity.

The luxury Ellisland House Hotel and restaurant, which dates back to 1900s, comes with nine individually designed letting bedrooms, a large garden room/restaurant with adjoining bar lounge, additional private dining rooms patio, meticulously kept garden and large car park.

The Cochrane Inn boasts a lounge and restaurant which approx 70 covers, with a two-bedroom owner’s flat, large car park, manicured gardens and patio.
