They were awarded first place for their performance of the Burns song, ‘The Deil’s awa wi the Exciseman’.
The children were delighted to receive a shield and a certificate for the school, as well as gold medals and a certificate each, and a £100 cash prize.
It was a wonderful afternoon where the audience were thoroughly entertained by the participating choirs, in particular with songs such as Dr Knickerbocker and Baby Shark.
New Cumnock Primary choir received wonderful comments about their winning performance and are so proud of this amazing achievement.
Mrs McNulty would also like to extend a big thank you to Mr Lowe for playing the piano for the performance and to Beth Kerr from the Ayrshire Burns Federation for her support.
