A MOTHER and daughter are celebrating after becoming first degree black belts together.
The students from McRobert’s Tae Kwon Do fighting school, Kay Duffy and Carla Duffy, were stunned when they found out they had achieved the honour together.
Kay has been doing Tae Kwon Do for just under five years and her perseverance has finally paid off to become a black belt.
Carla has also been doing Tae Kwon Do for four years and couldn’t quite believe when Mr McRobert told her she had passed.
Kay and Carla are now first degree black belts alongside the rest of their family, Gavin and Paul who both achieved their black belt in October 2018.
This is a fantastic achievement not only for the Duffy family but also the McRobert’s Tae Kwon Do Club.
If you fancy joining the class it runs on a Monday and Friday at Auchinleck Leisure Centre, Kids (6.30pm-7.30pm) and Adults (7.30pm-8.30pm) and Catrine Games Hall on a Wednesday (6pm7pm) pop in or give Michael a ring on 07580728962 or visit our Facebook page McRobert’s Tae Kwon Do School or the website.
