CUMNOCK and Doon Valley community groups could get thousands of pounds to boost their local projects.
Applications are now open for the ALDI Scottish Sport Fund, with clubs located across west and southwest Scotland invited to apply for a share of £50,000.
Now in its fourth year, ALDI’s Scottish Sport Fund is an initiative that aims to help people of all ages take part in physical activity within their local communities by giving clubs the chance to secure up to £500 funding. Since launching in 2016, over 250 clubs across Scotland have benefitted from a funding boost of more than £140,000, helping to improve community access to sports across the country.
In 2018, the ALDI Scottish Sport Fund supported a number of clubs across west and south-west Scotland including Speed Skating Club and South Ayrshire Tigers.
