Generous politician tackles Mauchline charity shop's major shortfall in items by making huge donation
A GENEROUS politician made a huge donation to a Mauchline charity shop after spotting an article in the Cumnock Chronicle.
Alan Brown MP gathered as many supplies as possible to help Ayrshire Cancer Support tackle their current shortfall. The charity had called on locals to donate with the message “Don’t dump it, donate”.
The MP for Kilmarnock and Loudounsaid: “It was my wife who noticed the article from the Cumnock Chronicle online calling for donations.
"I ran the idea past my office and everyone was on board and happy to make a joint donation.
“I urge my constituents to have a look around and get something into their local Ayrshire Cancer Support shop.”
