TALENTED young artists from local schools are celebrating success at the East Ayrshire Schools’ Art and Design Exhibition in the Young People’s Gallery in the Dick Institute.
The popular annual event which has been showcasing the best in pupil art, design and creative expression celebrates its 20th year and the art will be on display for public view until April 6.
Eight secondary schools were represented, giving young people a wonderful opportunity of having their artwork displayed in a public gallery – while also offering an insight into the high quality of teaching and artistic guidance across East Ayrshire school art and design departments.
The East Ayrshire Folk Ensemble performed a magnificent set to entertain guests on the night and there was also a unique opportunity for schools to set up Pop-Up Shops which provided an additional element to the evening and chance for guests to browse a selection of artwork.
