Project to build climbing centre in East Ayrshire given over 1 million pounds in major funding boost
A PROJECT to create an East Ayrshire Climbing Centre has been given a boost to the tune of £1,512,903.
It is one of 18 refurbishment schemes being awarded a share of the Scottish Government’s Regeneration Capital Grant Fund (RCGF) 2019/20.
Children, adults, school groups, youth groups and other organisations throughout East Ayrshire will be able to use the centre in Kilmarnock.
Facilities will include boulder, climbing and abseiling walls and a café as well as hosting parties, holiday activities and competition.
