A CAR has been torched on a school football pitch.
The white vehicle was set alight leaving just a scrap of metal left on the field along with a massive black stain.
Vandals incinerated engine at Loudon Academy at 1.30am on Saturday morning.
Cumnock Juniors Community Enterprise were so shocked to see the wreckage they were ‘lost for words’ Now the club are offering up their own pitch to teams who have lost out as a result of the mindless foul play They said:”If we can help, by accommodating teams who normally use the pitch at Loudoun, for games/training then please get in touch.”
Their generous offer was praised by residents.
One said: “Terrific gesture from yourselves. Just hope culprits get caught.”
Another added: “That’s horrendous why would anyone do that “ Others said: “Great gesture but why oh why do the youth of today think this is acceptable.
Mindless vandalism depriving a community of an asset.”
If anyone has any information about the vandalism they should contact Galston Police.
