A FESTIVE production which starred several talented dancers from Cumnock and Doon Valley is up for two awards.

As well as the dancing divas, a steady stream of panto lovers made their way up the A76 to enjoy Sleeping Beauty, this year’s popular offering at The Palace Theatre.

Now, the people behind the spectacular success are delighted to announce that the cast and production team have been nominated at this year’s Great British Pantomime Awards – for Best Dame and Musical Achievement.

Fraser Boyle, the Palace Theatre’s resident dame, earned a spot as one of the top five dames in country with his hilarious performance of Nurse Senga in Sleeping Beauty last Christmas.

It was Fraser’s third year at the Palace Theatre and he is delighted to return this year for Cinderella.

Fraser is a Fifer living in Glasgow but considers East Ayrshire a home away from home.

Stephen Power, Musical Arranger for Imagine Theatre, has been nominated for the Musical Achievement Award.
