Police are on the case
A SERIES of break-ins in the area has sparked a frantic police investigation to catch the thieves.
It comes after an item of jewellery with significant sentimental value has been stolen in a break-in from a property in Cumnock.
The thief forced entry to the house in Glaisnock Street between 7am and 5.45pm on February 8.
Anyone who has any information on the should contact PC Kershaw at Cumnock Police Station, quoting4007/8-02.
In a separate incident, on the same day, a toolbox was taken from a garden in Auchinleck.
It is understood there is no connection between the thefts.
