A MAN who drove a van back from the pub while four-times the limit has been banned for 14 months and fined £900.
Marian Corcaru, 25, of Peden Avenue in Dalry, was stopped in Beith at 1.40am on January 20.
The Procurator Fiscal said: “They thought this was an odd time to be driving such a vehicle and stopped it.”
Corcaru was tested and found to have 88 micrograms of alcohol. Solicitor John McCluskey said: “He took the vehicle to the pub with him.
“He fully accepts he shouldn’t have been driving and fully accepts that the consequences could have been serious.”
