CUSTOMERS and staff of the Co-op collected almost £8,000 for charities and community groups.
They had a presentation ceremony in the Mauchline store with representatives of the beneficiaries.
Manager Stacy Morrison was joined at the event by Gillian Patrick and Christie Murdoch from Co-op Funeralcare in Cumnock.
A total of £7919.74 was donated to four organisations in the area.

The Co-op Community Fund is a nationwide scheme in which one per cent of customers’ purchases funds community projects where they live — more than £20m has been raised since 2016.
