Catrine Primary School recently performed two shows to a sell-out crowd on both nights.
The Primary 1 to Primary 3 pupils presented ‘A Christmas Cracker’ – a wonderful mixture of Christmas songs, poems and jokes with some songs signed in British Sign Language.
Primary 4 to Primary 7 pupils performed ‘Straw and Order’ – an updated version of the Nativity story, told from the perspective of the animals in the stable.
All pupils sang beautifully and audience members agreed that it was a great Christmas event.

PARENT COUNCIL RAFFLE
The parent council very kindly donated two £20 vouchers for Smyth’s Toy Store to the school. Every pupil’s name was entered with the two winning names being pulled out of the hat at the Christmas Service – Hannah Mackenzie in P1 and Connor Sneddon in P3/4. We’re sure Hannah and Connor will have great fun spending their vouchers during the Christmas holidays, and thanks to the parent council for their continued support.
CHRISTMAS POETRY COMPETITION
Lots of pupils entered a Christmas Poem competition, sponsored by Arnold Clark.
Lauren and Karen from Arnold Clark came to our school to present our winners with their wonderful prizes.
1st – Khyla Shaw in P7
2nd – Lucy Nangle in P7
3rd – Paige Coughtrie in P7
Congratulations to the winners.
