Mauchline Community Association SCIO who operate the Centre Stane were delighted to assist by hosting a fundraising event for Kilmarnock Women’s under 11’s football team.

On Saturday, October 27 a Halloween cinema event showing of Hocus Pocus raised £320 towards the teams efforts in raising as much as possibly within a four week period for Cash for Kids.

Milligan’s Coach Travel, a sponsor of the Centre Stane Cinema donated a coach to transport players and their families to and from the Centre Stane from outlying villages and towns.

Alan Cook, Vice Chair, Mauchline Community Association SCIO said: “We were delighted to host the great family favourite of Hocus Pocus where 85 patrons came along all dressed up in their best Halloween costumes.

“Our community cinema is being well used by the residents of Mauchline which has all been made possible by our dedicated group of volunteers and grants received from The Robertson Trust and The Coalfield Regeneration Trust.
