PEOPLE from across Cumnock, Doon Valley and Upper Nithsdale came together to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI on Sunday, November 11.

Those who fought, served and died during the war were remembered in the hope that one day there will be a world without war and that their suffering was not in vain.

In this week's paper, we have photographs and reports from across the region as the first major conflict of the 20th century was commemorated.
