NEW ROLE: Area Commander Docherty
EAST Ayrshire’s new police Area Commander was born and bred in Muirkirk.
Gillian Docherty, who took over from John Cairns, has wasted no time in making communities aware of what her priorities are.
She said: “I want people to know that they do not have to live in fear.
“The police are here to support the public and if anyone has any concerns or information, I ask them to pass it on.”
