PARENTS of children at Barshare Early Childhood Centre have helped raise over £300 to purchase a new slide.

Businesses from across Cumnock and Auchinleck donated to a raffle – which was drawn on Monday, October 29 – and ticket sales plus an anonymous donation raised a total of £350.

Sheena Ferguson helped organise the raffle and said: “We organised a raffle to raise money to replace Barshare Early Childhood Centre’s slide in the outdoor play area after the storm ruined it. Local businesses including Prime Cuts, Emma’s Boutique, The Coffee Mill, Ahead of Hair, The Colour Room, Teri’s Cakes, Jan Laird Art, Scentsei UK, Tesco Auchinleck and Catrina’s Gifts donated prizes to raffle and we are very grateful.

“There were also donations from many parents and carers and we also kindly received a £50 anonymous donation.

“All parents were delighted with their prizes and the school are going to be ordering a new slide asap.”
