With the success of the Cumnock Chronicle Camera Club, we are running a competition to find Cumnock’s best photo of 2018.

Top prize – the Camera Club Cup – will be presented at the Cumnock Festival on Friday, November 30 and you’ll get a framed copy of the winning photo.

The competition is the brainchild of Camera Club member Michael McPake who has kindly donated the winner’s cup.

Michael said: “I spotted the cup in a charity shop, it has ‘Cumnock Festival Winning Photograph’ inscribed on it.

“I mentioned a competition to a couple of the Camera Club members and they have all been very supportive.

“The idea has blown up since then and I’m thankful to the Chronicle for supporting the competition.”

Pick your best three different photos and send them, along with a description of what they are and where they were taken, to the Cumnock Chronicle Camera Club Cup Facebook page.

Join the group and enter here, Camera Club members are already pre-approved.

The closing date for entries is Friday, November 23 and the winning photo will be chosen by Ayrshire Weekly Press photographer Charlie Gilmour and the team at the Chronicle.

The winner must be available to collect their prize at the festival.

Happy snapping!
