A WOMAN was injured following a house fire in Dalmellington in the early hours of Sunday morning, October 7.
Vertical blinds in a property on Minnoch Road caught fire, caused by an adjacent lit candle, at around 2.10am.
The woman sustained minor burns to her hand as she attempted to put out the fire before firefighters arrived.
A spokesperson from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters from Dalmellington attended a fire caused by a candle igniting the vertical blinds, in a property on Minnoch Road, Dalmellington on October 7 at 2.11am.
“Firefighters extinguished the fire and provided first aid to an adult female who had burned her hand attempting to extinguish the fire.”
