THE campaign to make Cumnock dementia friendly was launched by Alzheimer Scotland on Monday, October 1.
St John's Church regularly hosts the charity's musical reminiscence group and stakeholders were invited along to officially get the campaign underway.
A spokesperson for Dementia Friendly Cumnock said: "The process involves training as many businesses, retailers and community groups as possible in how to be as Dementia Friendly as they can be, but there are a lot of other projects that we can create around that.
"Relaxed shopping lanes, board games, befriending, environmental audits, schools awareness, intergenerational work, dementia-friendly walks are all possible."
