NIAMH Connolly from Cumnock took her mum by surprise when she said she wanted all her hair shaved off in aid of charity.
The nine-year-old not only carried out her pledge but she has gone on to raise an amazing £3,845 for Ayrshire Cancer Support.
She was accompanied by mum Gail when they handed over the cheque at the charity’s base in Kilmarnock.
It has been a tremendous effort by the youngster and all in memory of her Granny Molly who passed away after a brave battle with ovarian cancer.
Mum Gail said: “Thank you to Urban Hair and Beauty, Yipworld, The Thistle for their lovely buffet, The Royal Hotel for sandwiches and everyone who has donated and supported Niamh throughout her fundraising efforts.”
