A metal hut in Dalmellington was among the debris being blown about by Storm Ali on Wednesday, September 19.
The high winds – which uprooted trees and blocked roads and rail lines throughout Cumnock and Doon Valley – caused the structure to break free of its base at around 11am, leaving it to blow around in the back garden of a property on High Main Street.
Firefighters responded to the incident and quickly got to work to ensure no one would be at risk.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters from Dalmellington attended the report of a dangerous structure within the back garden of a property in High Main Street, Dalmellington on September 19 at 11.05am.
"On arrival firefighters found a metal hut had left its base and was blowing around in the back garden. They dismantled the hut to remove the risk."
