COMMUTERS in Cumnock and Doon Valley were left stranded in Glasgow after Stagecoach refused to accept tickets for cancelled trains during Storm Ali.
Scotrail have arrangements in places with multiple bus companies to help keep customers moving but the agreement with Stagecoach doesn’t cover peak time travel from Glasgow so passengers will have to pay for a ticket.
For some travellers, Stagecoach were the only option to reach Ayrshire meaning they had to wait for up to three and a half hours before they could travel home on Wednesday, September 19.
