FAMILIES are hoping to score a great day out as they make Townhead Park their goal on Sunday.

Saturday afternoon will be busy as Cumnock Juniors play Arthurlie but the club committee are hoping the ground will also host a hive of activity 24 hours later.

Commercial manager, Heather McEwan, said; "This Sunday is shaping up to be a fantastic day for all the family we have even booked the weather. It's going to be a great day out, so please come along and help us to build this back to the spectacular day it used to be in years gone by."

There is a mini-fairground with all the popular kiddies' rides, beat the goalie, crossbar challenge, target challenge, hook a duck and much more.

Heather added: "You can even step up to the oche and take on our darts challenge for a chance to win a cash prize or, if darts isn’t your thing, then why not try our hidden team board with the chance to win a huge cash prize?

"We have a selection of stalls including the well loved bottle stall, tombola stall, home baking and all the traditional favourites. The police and fire brigade will be there as well and l know the kids love a wee look round the appliances."

All that excitement will help build up an appetite so, if you are feeling a bit peckish, head to the BBQ for a burger with all the trimmings.

As well as the tempting tasty treats on offer, there will be a variety of kids specials, while there will be picnic benches for people to relax and enjoy the refreshments.

Instead of Away The Nock, the shout for Sunday is 'Make your way to the Nock' and have a ball at Townhead Park.

The fun starts on Sunday, May 20, at 1pm and will carry on till 5pm — go along, take the family, you won't be disappointed.
